Fastlane Ventures is the winner of Investor AllStars Awards 2012
The winners of the Investor AllStars Awards 2012 were revealed last night in a ceremony at the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel, which was attended by over 500 entrepreneurs and the leading figures of Europe’s venture capital and private equity communities. The ‘Oscars’ of the venture capital industry, the AllStars is an annual event organised by GP Bullhound, the technology investment bank and GrowthBusiness, a Vitesse Mediawebsite specialising in providing information for entrepreneurs and leaders of fast-growth enterprises.
“The judges for this year’s AllStars had a harder job than ever before, analysing the achievements of the investor and entrepreneurial communities over the past ten years as well as the last twelve months,” said Manish Madhvani, chairman of the judging panel and managing partner, GP Bullhound. “Despite going through what has been one of the most challenging periods in history for the financial sector, the level of competition was extraordinary. It’s therefore with great pleasure that I congratulate each of our award-winners and those that were shortlisted on this remarkable success.”
2012 marks the tenth anniversary of the event and this year’s awards looked back at some of the most lucrative investments and exits of the decade, as well as the past twelve months; the pinnacle of which was the ‘Investor of the Decade’ award. This was won by Danny and Neil Rimer, Index Ventures, who beat off stiff competition from Mark Advani, ISIS Equity Partners; George Coelho, Good Energies; Alexander Galitsky, Almaz Capital; Nic Humphries, HgCapital; Yuri Milner, Digital Sky Technologies and Dr Jos B Peeters, Capricorn Venture Partners.
