VitaPortal receives the Russian Internet Award 2011
VitaPortal has received a Russian Internet Award in the ‘Health and Leisure’ category and has been acknowledged as the leading Russian provider of health and medical information on the internet.
One of the advantages of VitaPortal is the reliability, accessibility and authenticity of the information available, all posts are reviewed by a specialty health care provider or medical institution. It is the only Russian health portal which currently holds a HONcode (Health of net code) certificate. These certificates are issued to those websites who meet high international standards of medical counsel.
VitaPortal is one of Fast Lane Venture’s portfolio companies and was launched in June 2011. In November 2011 the portal accumulated over 800,000 unique visitors. “We are delighted to receive this accolade from the online community. VitaPortal is currently the most popular Russian language website offering health information. On average each user views in excess of 5 pages spending around 3 minutes on the website. According to the Russian statistics service Liveinternet.ru, VitaPortal has the highest score among all major medicine and health websites in Russia.
Three of Fast Lane Ventures’ other portfolio companies were also shortlisted for Russian Internet Awards. This included the online shoe retailer Sapato.ru, Heverest.ru seller of sport and leisure goods, and travel search engine Jizo.ru. Fast Lane ventures itself was also nominated in the ‘Business and Economics’ section.
